REEDSVILLE, PA, July 8, 2025 - Cignal LLC, a company founded by former FBI operational andintelligence experts, today announced it has been selected to deliver a premier two-day artificial intelligence (AI) security training course at Black Hat USA 2025, one of the world’s leading cybersecurity conferences. The hands-on course provides security professionals with critical skills for testing and securing a variety of AI systems, including classification systems, generative models, vision models, agentic architectures, and AI systems-of-systems. The training, titled “A Black Box: Lab-Based AI Security and Safety Training Delivered Through the Lens of Historic Technological Disasters,” will be offered in two sessions on August 2-3 and August 4-5, 2025, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"AI is increasingly being incorporated into applications, systems, and machines that touch every aspect of our lives,” said Eric Fiterman, Chief Technology Officer of Cignal and a former FBI Special Agent. “We designed this hands-on course for the security professionals and emerging leaders that will need to protect and defend AI systems that operate in high-consequence environments.” Cignal’s course moves beyond traditional lectures, immersing attendees in a series of hands-on labs. Participants will learn to attack and defend AI systems by exploring the root causes of major historical failures, from the cascading collapse of power grids to the software flaws that led to catastrophic transportation accidents. The training covers a range of modern threats, including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, prompt injection, and the security of agentic AI systems.
Cybersecurity practitioners, developers, and leaders seeking to build practical AI security skills are invited to register for either the August 2-3 or the August 4-5 session of Cignal’s Black Hat course.
